Laguna InVita: Know It, Respect It, Protect It. Experience It
A selection of approximately 60 watercolors depicting fish and mollusks from the lagoon. These works will be on display at the exhibition “Laguna InVita: Know It, Respect It, Protect It. Experience It,” which opened on May 20, 2021, at Palazzo Corner Mocenigo in Campo San Polo, in the branch of the Guardia di Finanza Historical Museum.
The exhibition, organized by the Veneto Regional Command of the Guardia di Finanza, in collaboration with the Venezia InVita association, aims to raise awareness of the local marine fauna and the ecosystem that supports it. The illustrations are accompanied by captions in Italian and dialect, and will also include the scientific names of the various fish species. The goal is also to raise awareness of how important understanding the fauna that inhabit our lagoon is to safeguarding marine biodiversity and the health of the community.
